- A brief protected settling phase, not prolonged immobilisation. C. KEY CONTROVERSIES / EVIDENCE QUALITY
- HIT vs Darrach. The Darrach (complete distal ulna resection) is simpler but sacrifices the ulnar support structures and is more prone to painful proximal ulnar-stump instability and radioulnar convergence, especially in younger, higher-demand or post-traumatic patients.
