In 2002, Dr Kieran Hirpara was awarded his medical degree from The National University of Ireland, Galway. He completed general orthopaedic training in Ireland in 2013 having attained his FRCS (Tr&Orth). Whilst in training, he also received a research MD from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
In order to develop the skills necessary to provide highly specialised care of conditions of the upper limb, Dr Hirpara underwent fellowship training in ortho-plastic hand surgery (Manchester, UK) and shoulder surgery (Brisbane, Australia).
Dr Hirpara commenced his public appointment as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Rockhampton Base Hospital in 2016. In 2020, CQ Hand & Upper Limb was established in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital Rockhampton where Dr Hirpara offers complex upper limb surgery.
